I do think that THG movies are some of best YA film adaptations out there - but there are some things I cannot forgive:

1. The absolutely BOTCHED casting of Katniss. The whole point of “this child is being exploited from all sides” is completely lost when she looks like a 5’9 adult woman. Also she’s not supposed to be white.

2. Where is the disability representation? Where? Katniss is partially deaf for a spell. Peeta is missing a fucking leg for two books and struggles with physical tasks as a result - the movies took out the prosthetic but kept the struggling which made him come off as a bumbling klutz. Why. Why did they do this
